Apple Tree Girl and Apple Tree Boy

Today I will tell you about a nice pairing.. the Apple Tree Girl (#141) and the Apple Tree Boy (#142).

Both were first modeled by Master Sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1940 and both have been restyled several times over the years.
These two are from the 1957 time frame.

There are many size variations and early models have a tapered brown base.
The sizes in both have ranged from 3.50 inches to 32 inches. The two shown here are 4.0 inches.
The larger models of the girl include a bird in the tree.
An earlier model of the boy included a feather in his cap.
Both the girl and boy motifs have been used in an annual plate (girl 1976 - boy 1977), a table lamp, and bookends.

On each figurine the retail value ranges from $99 to $29,900 depending on the year of a particular figurine's issue and it's size.

Happy Pastime - see her at the top of my blog

 Happy Pastime is number 69.

She was first made in 1937 and annually, thereafter, until she was retired in December 1996.
This particular figurine was made in the late 1950's.
She was originally called Knitter in older catalogs and was first modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1937. There were a few minor changes made over the years, but there is basically little difference.

Her retail value ranges from $190 to $605 depending on the year of a particular figurine's issue.
